There are three ways to get a Snom VoIP-Phone (3xx-series) connected to a STARFACE Server

STARFACE Network Scan

STARFACE is able to scan your network or parts of your network for Snom VoIP-Phones (3xx-Serie) and configure them automatically. For this way of connecting phones to STARFACE please consider our separate manual:

HOWTO - Automatic Configuration of VoIP-Phones

Manual Configuration

For configuring a Snom3xx SIP-phone you have to access the phone's webserver by entering the phone's IP-Address into your Browser. Snom3xx SIP-Phones run their webserver on the default HTTP-Port 80.

There's no need to login into the phone's webinterface (default setting)

Identity X > 'Login'

Annotation:
Displayname = displayed line name on the phone's display
Account = STARFACE phone name
Password = STARFACE phone password
Registrar = STARFACE IP-Address
Mailbox = "starfacevm" - makes the phone monitor the user's voicemailbox for new messages

Other fields can be left empty or rather be left to the default values.

Identity X > 'SIP'

Annotation:
All fields can be left empty or rather be left to the default values.

Identity X > 'NAT'

Icon-attention.png Only configure NAT if your snom connects via a Firewall / NAT-Router to STARFACE.

Annotation:
ICE = There's no support for ICE
STUN Server = stun.starface.de
STUN intervall = 60
Keepalive interval = 2-30 (you have to try, this interval depends on the firewall)

Auto-Provisioning

NOTE:
Auto-Provisioning is currently not supported by STARFACE PBX, but we have this feature already on our roadmap.
Nevertheless if you have to setup and maintain more than just a few phones it could be useful to you use Auto-Provisioning via config-files on a tftp-server.

We will add here some example files and a short review of this technique soon.

So far a interesting whitepaper from snom
