This instruction is valid for installations of STARFACE with Version 3.0.0.0 or greater.

USV = uninterruptible power supply

Recommendation

• use USB for connecting to STARFACE PBX and not a serial cabel.

Installing an USV and using it with STARFACE

1. Install http://www.apcupsd.org/ as a rpm on your STARFACE appliance.
   • download the fc4 rpm
   • install the rpm
2. shutdown STARFACE
3. attach USV
4. reboot STARFACE
